Spring Runoff 2015The Spring Run Off—A Jasper Tradition

Totem’s annual Spring Run Off is a popular running event in Jasper, with a storied history and a who’s-who of Jasper athletes decorating the winners’ plaque.

But despite the long list of champions, the Spring Run Off is all about getting out and having fun. It’s also about supporting the community. 2010 was the best-attended ever, and saw $1,400 donated to the Jasper Caring Community Fund, an endowment which helps local families overcome financial barriers to participating in sports.

The Spring Run Off, now in its 30th year, takes place every Mother’s Day. The 10 km loop starts and ends at Lake Annette, taking runners around nearby Lake Edith and through forested trails surrounding the lakes. The route is gently graded and alternates between road and trail running.

The event’s success is due to the enthusiastic volunteers and dedicated staff from Totem’s.

On-line registration will open in March for the Spring Run Off.  CLICK HERE For more info on our Facebook page.

The Jasper Ski Team supplied the volunteers for the 26th annual Spring Run Off and paid forward the proceeds of the event to Jasper’s Caring Community Fund.
